A Crappy Birthday Week

All should be right with the world when your kids are happy, right? My daughter is flourishing out there in Texas at Texas A & M, loving the weather and her school. My son, the musician, is steeped in his music and dreaming of being a famous drummer with his two bands.

But I’ve been avoiding writing in my blog because I’ve just had the shittiest week ever. And it was my birthday week, too.

We were supposed to have a closing on my parents’ former home in Brooklyn but at the closing the title company would not accept the power of attorney I had for my mom and everything unraveled from there. Selling my parents’ home was the first part of a larger plan that involves getting back to Sincerin, Colombia before it gets too cold here, and selling our house in PA where we have lived for nine years. We already have a buyer.

I’m disappointed, worried, and angry. Not sure what’s going to happen. I have to believe that there’s a divine plan and a divine solution. Otherwise, I’ll go crazy.

I hope things clear up real fast and you will be traveling soon. Good news about the kids. I am delighted for them.

I like the clip art in this blog post. I’ve certainly felt that before…those crazy, “I want to scream” moments. I’m sorry to hear about your bad birthday week. Where is the remote control for life? Sometimes we need to rewind. But that would be too easy and we’d probably lose it in between the couch cushions anyway…haha. I hope this coming week will have much better things in store for you, solutions and progress : ) I love you very much! Sending you a hug.
