A week ago today, my brother and his wife brought down our 93 y.o. mom to stay with us on the farm. She has Alzheimer’s disease and hasn’t figured out yet where she is, only that it’s sometimes very hot. She expects to be leaving “tomorrow” so she doesn’t want to go to the beach but she says she’ll be back. Well, the fact is that she’ll be here for quite a while. Whether she’ll adjust is up to her. I know it’s rough for her. She can’t even read a book anymore but I’m going to get Direct TV soon and maybe she can watch some novelas (soap operas) or CNN. Right now, she mostly sleeps. I took her outside to see the sunset yesterday. She seemed to like that.
New discovery: The adult diapers here in Colombia are BETTER than the ones in the States. Oh, joy!
Here’s a beautiful cloud we saw the other day. The only puffy one in the sky. Looked like it was attracting the light.
